Q4: Go
Course Guide
Purpose of this Quarter
The evangelism quarter of this course equips students to share the Gospel with confidence, compassion, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Students learn that evangelism is more than getting someone to pray a prayer, it’s inviting them into a life of discipleship with Jesus. The module explores Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19–20 and Acts 1:8, showing that our mission flows from God’s heart for the world and is empowered by His Spirit. Students examine biblical examples, the importance of building genuine relationships, and the necessity of communicating the Good News clearly and simply. The teaching emphasizes that evangelism is both a lifestyle and a calling for every believer.
Alongside the biblical foundation, the module addresses practical skills and personal readiness. Students learn how to share their testimony, answer common questions, and overcome fear or hesitation. They also explore how the Holy Spirit gives power, boldness, and guidance for effective witness. The heart of the teaching is that evangelism is an overflow of love rooted in God’s compassion for the lost and lived out in everyday moments. By the end, students are challenged to step out in obedience, trusting that God will use them to plant seeds, water hearts, and see lives transformed for His glory.
Class Preparation
Weekly Session Review: Continue to review the Teacher Guide for each week’s class. It will provide insight into the lesson. Take time to study the lesson thoroughly so you are comfortable with the content. You will still want to be prepared for questions and the after-class discussion time.
Prepare Handouts: Print enough copies for each student, plus a few extras. If the lesson includes a worksheet, print those as well.
Discussion Questions: You will notice that classes have fewer discussion questions added in. This is intentional. By now, you know your group dynamic very well and should be able to engage the group in discussions during your lesson. As you review the lesson for the week, jot down any questions you think of, or just encourage input on the fly.
Graduation
This final quarter of the course concludes with a celebration! The last class is dedicated to honoring the commitment and growth of your students. You have the freedom to design this time in a way that best fits your group, but here are a few suggestions to help make it special:
Share a meal together
Present Certificates of Achievement (included in your Graduation Folder)
Give a meaningful gift, such as:
An engraved ring
A personalized notebook or journal
A sweatshirt
A key chain
A Bible, devotional, or book
The goal is to create a memorable and encouraging close to your time together, one that affirms each student and sends them forward with joy.
If you prefer, you can save the graduation certificates to present during a church service instead of handing them out at the celebration. This allows the whole church community to join in recognizing and celebrating the students’ dedication and accomplishments.
Final Note
Your Teacher Guides in this quarter will include reminders as graduation approaches, helping you prepare in advance so you can enjoy the celebration without stress.
